Most Wanted in the browser
Play without installing
Two hosts still answer for a browser session of Most Wanted 2005, and they do not share saves.

NFSMW Online at nfsmwonline.com is the account-based browser build: a name and password, career stored on the account, and desktop or mobile browser options. Its current notes describe iPhone/iPad and Firefox lite mode; full rendering depends on the device. The Android app is a separate option. These device details have one current project source. The MWO browser at web.nfsmwo.com is the browser face of the client project and still expects the PC game if you want the full client. dezm0n’s itch port, the old no-account link in many guides, returned 404 on 2026-11-04. JustPlayWeb remains a single-player WebAssembly build with saves in the browser and no lobby.
First load is large because the game data caches in the site. Clearing site data to “fix” a black screen also deletes that cache and, on the single-player ports, the save. Export first if the port offers it. A controller works on the account port according to the public guides; a wheel is not promised on every host. School Chromebooks that block WebGPU will not boot the full build.
Questions
Can I play Most Wanted in Chrome?
Both projects publish browser entry points. NFSMW Online also documents mobile and lite modes; check the exact host’s current requirements rather than applying one browser rule to every project.
Does mobile Safari work?
NFSMW Online documents iPhone and iPad as lite mode only. The project also lists Android browser and app options; these are first-party device claims.
Is the browser build multiplayer?
The account site describes shared free roam and races. JustPlayWeb does not. Read the domain.
