Need for Speed: The Run

The Run is a 2011 point-to-point story about a race across the country. It had online for up to eight players. ScreenRant’s shutdown piece groups it with Carbon, Undercover, and the Shift games, with EA’s date at 31 Aug 2021. I am using that article as one report of EA’s statement, and the Wikipedia summary as the second place the closure shows up in the public record. There is no serious browser port that turns The Run into a live lobby. Pages that rank for “nfs the run online” and then load a DOS game are answering a different question. You can still own the story mode where stores list it. You should not expect an EA lobby. I am not going to invent a private-server scene I could not find two sources for.
